BROOKLYN, N.Y. — Asian Americans in New Jersey live better than any other ethnic group in any other state — based on overall health, education and income, a new report shows.

The rankings were part of a comprehensive study released yesterday by the American Human Development Project. Creating a “Human Development Index,” it measured gaps between racial and ethnic groups across states.

The study factored in life expectancy at birth, median annual income, educational degree attainment among adults age 25 or older and school enrollment among children 3 or older.
