The overarching goal of APCA is to establish a sustainable community-wide approach towards maintaining optimal health and wellness within the Asian/Pacific Islander community. This larger goal includes multiple sub-goals: a) Monitoring API health status, health-seeking behaviors, and community capacity; b) Coordinating the provision of culturally and linguistically proficient health education and preventive clinical services; c) Establishing enduring and broad-based health partnerships; d) Improving community capacity for health improvement; and e) Continuously advocating for policies and programs that improve API health.
